This page describes what the app does with your data in full. It is short because there is very little to describe.

Nothing. There is no account, no sign‑in, no analytics framework and no crash reporter. We do not know how many desktops you have, what you named them, or whether you opened the app today.
Deskdeck reads and moves files inside your Desktop folder so it can show the right desktop. Everything stays on your Mac, in ordinary folders. Nothing is copied, indexed off‑device, or uploaded.
macOS asks for accessibility permission once, so the app can register global shortcuts. That is the only permission requested. Deskdeck does not read your keystrokes outside its own shortcuts.
The app works fully offline. It contacts our server in two cases: to check for a new version, and to validate a licence key when you enter one. Both requests carry the app version and, for the licence check, the key itself — no identifier that points back to you. Version checks can be turned off in settings.
Purchases run through our payment provider, which handles card details and issues your receipt. We see your email address and the order, nothing more, and we use the address only to send the licence and reply if you write to us.
No cookies, no trackers, no third‑party scripts. The host keeps standard access logs for a short period, which we do not analyse.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the previous version stays in the changelog. Questions go to support, where one developer reads every message.
